How many barcodes do I need?

If you have one drink in one size or flavour then you need just one barcode. You can use this barcode number on your product forever.

Do you have more than one product? Say for example, different sizes, brews or vintages and most importantly if the different products have different prices, you will need one barcode per variation. You may  have a pale ale in 200ml and 500ml bottle, each would need its own barcode number to identify it correctly by price and size in the retailers database and stock control.

4 or 6 packs? These need a different barcode number to the individual bottle as they will be a different price to the buying just one bottle.

Wholesale carton codes – if a retailer asks for a wholesale carton code please order here or get in touch with us.

How do I print my barcode?

Due to the curvature of a beer or wine bottle, the barcode is best rotated 90 degrees so it looks like a ladder. Barcodes scan best on flat surfaces so by rotating the barcode it is flatter lying along the length of the bottle rather than wrapped horizontally round the bottle. This makes is easier for the laser on the checkout scanner to read the whole barcode.

All our barcode packages include internet registration.
